Sponge Cake without Oven & Egg - cake in kadhai | Soft Sponge cake recipe in hindi English
INGREDIENTS
  1. MAIDA - 1 CUP
  2. MILK POWDER - 1 CUP
  3. BAKING SODA - 1/4
  4. BAKING POWDER - 1/2 tsp
  5. GHEE - 1/3 cup
  6. TUTTI FRUTTI'-1/4 cup
  7. VENILLA ESSENCE- 1 tsp
  8. LEMON JUICE- 1 tsp
  9. MILK- 1 cup
  10. Sugar - 3/4 cup
METHOD
Take 1/2 cup of milk and add lemon juice. Let it be for 2-3 min so that milk is curdled,
Take a kadhai and put on gas with high flame. Take 1.5 cup salt and spread in bottom. Put a jali stand and cover it with lid. Bring down gas to slow flame and put it for preheat for 15 min.
Take a mould for cake and grease it inside with ghee. Dust it with maida powder so that cake comes out easily when it is baked.
Take a big bowl. Add maida , milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, sugar powder through sieve of fine mesh. Make space in center and add ghee, curdled milk. Add 1 tsp venilla essence and mix them well. Add rest of the milk into it and mix them well to form medium consistency batter. Add little tutti frutti and mix them well.
Fill up mould with batter. Sprinkel tutti fruti on to of the batter.
Now kadhai is preheated. Open lid and put mould on stand. Now cover it with lid and let it be for bake for 10 min on medium flame and 20-25 min on low flame. After that check it with knife / tooth pic by inserting into cake. If it comes out clear then it is baked. Turn off gas and take out mould. Let it be cool down to room temperature.
Then separate out sides with knife from mould . Invert the mould over plate so that cake comes out in it. Make desired shape cut pieces with knife.
